FAQs

I'm a beginner... How can 5 Star help me prepare for my trip?
For the novice, all trails are designated for snowmobiles exclusively. They are mapped, marked and professionally groomed on a regular basis for safety. There are over 20,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in Quebec alone! We stop at gas stations, restaurants, points of interest and local snowmobile clubhouses for breaks along the way. Upon receipt of deposit we will provide a list of recommended preparations and supplies to make your trip more pleasurable and safe.
Do 5 Star's trips allow for different riding speeds?

We accomodate everyone and will break into two groups or more depending upon riding skills. Be advised! On the more aggressive trips we ride hard all day with the occational pit stop.

Are children welcome on any trips?

5 Star always welcomes children on novice tours. You will need a drivers license or junior snowmobile operators permit to drive, otherwise see "Two up sled".

What are the options for sled rentals?

Assorted makes and models, prices vary accordingly. Clothing and helmets available but must reserve ASAP in advance. Deposits required according to dealer. All rented sleds come with local trail permits, 5 Star will produce options and prices upon demand.
West Yellowstone rentals may change make and model daily, subject to availability.

Rentals available for all trips from local dealers. Arrangements made upon request. The cost is approximately $125.00 - $150.00 U.S. currency per day, helmet and clothing also available.

The transport vehicle is also available to carry anyone who simply does not care to ride that day.
